COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL THERAPY
CBT is a short-term psychotherapy that takes a collaborative, practical approach to problem solving. The goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are no longer useful, and thus change how we feel. It is used to treat a wide range of issues from anxiety and depression to relationship, health or work problems.
Importantly, CBT has been shown to work in hundreds of scientific studies involving thousands of participants.
CBT uses a variety of cognitive and behavioral techniques, while integrating other psychotherapy models including Mindfulness, Solution-Focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Positive Psychology.

COLLABORATION
We don’t exist in a vacuum and therapy doesn’t need to either. Some clients find their therapy enhanced by doing other types of healing; whether acupuncture, body or energy work, nutritional consultation, exercise, conventional and/or alternative medicine. I welcome collaboration.

The Triple-P-Positive Parenting Program is one of the world’s most effective parenting programs.
It gives parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children and teenagers and to build stronger family relationships. It also helps parents manage misbehavior and prevent problems occurring in the first place.
